If a tie exists for an overall class at the end of the series, the following
rules will be used in the following order until the tie is broken: 1) Number of
1st, 2nd, 3rd, ... until tie is broken in all races that are used for series
points. 2) Head-to-Head results in all common races. 3) Head-to-Head result in
the most recent/last race. This rule is applied by starting at the last race
and going backward to find the first common race. Once found, that result will
be used to break the tie.
During
the series a rider may upgrade, however only 50% of points earned in one class will
transfer to the next class.
Promoters: If a promoter/race director of an OE WTCS
race participates in a minimum of 3 races during the series, the promoter will
receive first place points in his/her class in the race he/she missed due to
promoting the race. The Series Director
will have final say on points awarded to promoters in these instances. This will be limited to one race for those
promoting multiple races.
The
Marathon race will be scored for the series as follows: Cat 3 will be scored on
1 lap*, Cat 2/Singlespeed will be scored on 2 laps*, Cat 1/Open will be scored
on 3 laps.
*Cat
2 and Cat 3 racers can complete all three laps of the Marathon, but for the
series, the scoring will be based on the laps outlined above.
